User Guide: How to use TestGrader

TestGrader grades your online tests automatically and forwards a score report to your email address. It comes in two versions:
For tests published with TestCommander(the free version):
testGrader.asp, for Windows websites, and
TestGrader.php for Linux or Unix based web sites.

For tests published with TestCommander5Options:
testGrader5Options.asp, for Windows websites, and
TestGrader5Options.php for Linux or Unix based web sites.

Making one of these versions operational is a matter of identifying the one you need, downloading it from our site and uploading it to your website, together with your online tests.

Follow these steps:

1. Author a test using TestCommander v. 5 (it is FREE for non-commercial personal use) or TestCommander5Options . Authoring a test is very simple, you just need to type in (copy and paste if you have it in electronic format already) your questions and then hit the "Save" button.
2. Publish your test for the web using the program. All you need to do is select your test and hit the "Publish HTML" button.
3. TestCommander prepares the test file and answers file for you in the default TestCommander directory. Grab these two files and upload them to your web site.
4. Buy testGrader and upload it in the same folder as your test on your web site.
5. Administer your test (i.e., tell students the address of your tests on your web site) online.
6. Once a student completes a test you will get his/her score forwarded to you in your email.

Q. How can I purchase testGrader?
A. You can download the system for $18.99.00 USD. A download link and password will be emailed to you as soon as your payment has been verified. testGrader is a self-extracting file which contains the testGrader file you requested. You double click on it and the file will be extracted in the folder of your choice. Grab the file and upload it to your web site.
